Dr. Florence Kaibi
Head of Directorate
Dr Kaibi currently serves as the Head of Nuts and Oil Crops at Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA). She holds a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from University of Stellenbosch South-Africa and is an Alumnus of Moi and Kenyatta Universities. She has studied other courses such as a Post-graduate diploma in Food and Nutrition Security (Wageningen University-Netherlands) and Water Saving Agricultural Technology Yangling-China).
Dr Kaibi has over 20 years of professional experience in the Ministries of Education and Agriculture. She has authored and co-authored several scientific papers on Food and Nutrition Security issues; some as refereed journals and proceedings of international conferences. Florence has strengths in Leadership, Capacity Building, Policy development and Strategic planning.
Lily Chebet Kiptoo Langat

Lily Chebet Kiptoo Langat is a holder of a BSc. Degree in Horticulture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, MBA. Strategic Management from the Moi University, and MSc. Environmental Studies (Agroforestry and Rural Development) from Kenyatta University
She has worked in various capacities in the Agriculture Sector. In the year 2000, she was employed by the Intermediate Technology Development Group – Kenya Office. She has worked as Export Manager at Canken International Limited in 2007. In 2010, she was employed at Horticulture Crops Development Authority (HCDA) as a Horticulture officer.

Willis Magak Audi holds a Master of Science in Horticulture degree from Egerton University. He has worked in Ministry of Agriculture in various deployments since 1993 in Rift Valley and Central Kenya regions and in Kilimo House in Extension services and Food Security Unit, before deployment to the former Kenya Coconut Development Authority (Predecessor of the Nuts and Oil Crops Directorate) in 2014. He has also worked in Horticultural Crops Directorate for 4 years as senior horticultural officer, until April 2018.
Professional trainings attended include “planning and designing agricultural statistics for policy making” in Japan, “Seminar for Agricultural Officials of African Nations” in China, “Oil Crops Development”, ‘Training of Trainers on quality management for certification of fruits and vegetables. The major milestones include initiation and implementation in collaboration with KALRO team the establishment of mango mother-block at KALRO Perkerra; the development of “Training Guidelines and Manual on Agricultural Data Collection and Management” and the preparation and promotion of Macadamia production in Baringo.
